This book starts out in a darker than usual place for a romance. The heroine is mourning the loss of her husband and young child in a car accident. The hero is grieving his brother who committed suicide. Well-intentioned small town residents bring them together, but she isn't as ready to heal as he is. In time she begins to enjoy the life she has. Home renovation, diner food, and crafts play a role.
