I'm glad I've read several other Patterson books before this one or I might have never discovered one of the best authors of all time. This book is a cutesy, feel good, "love story" which I normally don't mind but this one was rather annoying. I guess the fact that I don't care for golf didn't help but the main character is so whiny.
Travis hates his job, a job many people would kill for, so when he gets fired he takes $3,000 out of the bank for the entry fee into the senior golf tour and hopes he makes it so he can do what he really wants in life. I'm glad his life is so bad he has the $3,000 to "gamble on". Too bad all of us can't have a miracle of quitting our day jobs to play our favorite sport and get paid an asinine amount to do it. Call me crass, but this book is just too ridiculous to even enjoy. Stick with Patterson's mysteries and skip this silly effort of a book.
This book was out of the norm for Patterson. Short in length, which is good sometimes. More of a love story than a mystery.
Not much to this one at all. So-so story, ended up skimming a bit as there just wasn't much to it. Quick read, only 192 pages. Get it from the library and don't waste your money on it.
It's a short little read but good. I read it in a couple hours, might be better for someone who actually golfs. But it's still a good story.
This is a great short story!
A delightful book for any golfer who has wished for a miracle on
the golf course.
This is a terrific short novel that you can read in a day. It concerns a 50-year-old Chicago ad-man who quits his job and goes on the senior PGA tour. His relationship with his wife is shaky until the end when the miracle of the title occurs.
Miracle happen, but only if you believe.
Was dissappointed in this book. Expected something else. But it's an ok read, especially if you love the game of golf.
Great book very quick read. You don't have to like golf to enjoy this book.
no, don't like golf, and worse then last golf book from James i read, and worse then other one, so you best LOVE golf to read it at all
Classic patterson! Quick interesting read!
This is a different type book that James Patterson has written. I enjoyed it, and I don't golf. It's more than a golf story. My husband, a golfer, enjoyed it too. Quick and easy read.
