OK, not even sure what to say here. A unique cast of characters and world building, which the author makes work surprisingly well. Complex and fast moving plot, excellent characterizations (primary & secondary), and lots of steam. I bought it for the smut, and quickly bought the next several in the series just to see what happens next in the plot and relationship! Once started, this book is difficult to put down.

Despite rather major character flaws, our hero somehow manages to squeak through the tough patches of work, life & relationship to come out on top.

It appears typical of this author to write a novella and then include several short stories to round out the book. Instead of feeling choppy, the author works with each piece of story to advance the overall storyline and kept me wanting more.

A unique, compelling, and fun read! Highly recommended for readers who want more story without sacrificing steam. Although *****possible spoilers***** (readers who require monogamy may not enjoy this series).
