I picked this book up to read only because I heard of it on a mom blog, and thought I'll check it out. It was well worth it! I could not put it down the story follows a midwife in London and her training and she gives accounts of the births and also a look into the nuns lives of where she stayed, she wrote this book with alot of heart and I really enjoyed it.

The characters is this book areloveable and precious. I would suggest Call the Midwife for the historic and medical information. To think this took place in the 50's and how crude things were then in England and the poverty there is amazing.
