Clint Backer is 2nd in command of the Wolves, 200 outlaw bikers in the 1960's. Bitterly alienated from his mother and stepfather, trying to keep his younger brother Colt from drugs and violence, he sometimes wonders if the life he has chosen is a bad trip to death. Yet, his fellow bikers seem to be the only ones who care about him or his brother.

When Backer finds himself face-to-face with a power greater than that of the Wolves--Divine Love--his life is transformed. As he stalks dark streets to reach out to others, he sees the miracle of forgiveness change many of society's outcasts. The new road he rides leads him into an inevitable confrontation with his former comrades.

Good, good book. Easy, enjoyable read for adults & I recommend it for older teens. The story is a good example of how a life can change from bad to good & yet still be enjoyable! One of the authors (Barry McGuire) was involved in the motorcycle world before he became famous as one of the New Christy Minstrels. He had the #1 hit: Eve of Destruction. McGuire now travels as a Christian musician and author.

From the back cover: "Clint Backer is second in command of the Wolves, 200 outlaw bikers on Harley Davidsons in the 1960s. Bitterly alienated from his mother and step-father, trying desperately to keep his younger brother Colt from self-destructing with drugs and violence, he sometimes wonders if the life he has chosen is a bad trip to the "stone hotel" or even to death. Yet, his fellow bikers seem to be the only ones who care at all about him or his brother.

When Backer finds himself face-to-face with a power greater than that of the Wolves-Divine Love-his life is transformed. As he stalks dark streets to reach out to others, he sees the miracle of forgiveness change many of society's outcasts.

The new road he rides leads him into an inevitable confrontation with his former comrades, but at what cost?

A dynamic novel of the Light that can come to death-bound rebels without a cause, a picture of us all." 221 pages. 16 chapters.
