The *sixth* in Weber's epic gunpowder-tech history-of-another-world, "Midst Toil and Tribulation" is pretty much more of the same.
And I actually really enjoyed it, as I have the rest of Weber's series, though since it's been quite a while since I read the prior novel, I actually did find it difficult to start (I didn't get as engrossed as I had expected).
4 of 5 stars.

I have read this entire series. As more and more books are added, the plot is moved forward less and less. I thought this book would bring the end closer and it did not. The repetitive descriptions make for heavy slogging with little progress towards a conclusion.
