History of Sicily, WWII, the Mafia, and good food.
This book is very detailed and lengthy - the author does like to go off and talk about food and customs - but he always ties it back to the Mafia and the problems of Sicily. Very insightful book - you will feel as you know what it is like to be living in Sicily after reading this.
