I adored this story.
Set in London in 1852.
The characters' relationship had chemistry.
The story-line had a great twist!
Certain aspects were heart wrenching.
The ending was excellent and didn't linger.
The prologue and epilogue are both written in 1st person from the hero's view and his story thoughout is touching.
I will say however, that although the book was meant to stand alone, a lot could be gained by reading the previous stories in this series first. They are all excellent books, and the previous characters all make appearances in this one.

Disappointing! The book didn't stand well alone. The romance and the plot were rushed and contrived with perfectly forgettable characters.
