This is a great book. Several months later, and I still think about this book. I look forward to reading the next in the series. It is a paranormal romance, very interesting and different from the usual fair. I recommend it!

Eventhough her sister is married to a human, Ryne, a Gineal warrior, always held with the belief that Gineal and human couldn't mix. This posed a huge problem when Deke entered the picture. She wanted him badly but rigidly held herself back. Deke knew how to rile Ryne and he did it intentionally to draw her closer to him which she resisted.
An enjoyable tug of war between allies who are fighting the darkness and a curse. It starts out very slow and I found it rather boring until about page 100 when it finally got interesting. It held my interest til the end and I'm anxiously awaiting the next book. I liked both Deke and Ryne as characters and hope they show up again in future books.
