A fascinating read and a well-written account of a young man's imprisonment in Turkey for hashish possession & suspected smuggling. A heart-wrenching story, a disturbing look at foreign prisons, and a big exhale at the end of this suspenseful memoir. Quite an amazing tale.

A horrifying, shocking, true tale of a young American in the 1960s who gets arrested for buying Marijuana in Turkey. Goes to jail as his parents frantically work to get him released. Frightening, scary, harrowing - and an irresistable read. It was made into a very graphic, intense movie.
