On my wish list are a lot of books. Sometimes I can't remember where I found a reference to a given book...someplace I read something, or heard something, that made me put it on the list. For Midnight at the Electric I'm sure I was interested because the "primary" story is about a girl who will be a colonist to Mars.
However, that's not even remotely what the book is about. If you're in the mood for a YA SF story, this isn't it. If what you want is a slower, contemplative YA book about loss and relationships and love, you'll probably like it. It's well written, but it isn't my thing.
