Eve's name has made a Christmas list, but it's not for being naughty or nice. It's for putting a serial killer behind bars. Now the escaped madman has her in his sights. With her husband, Roarke, at her side, Eve must stop the man from exacting his bloody vengeance--or die trying.

I love powerful Lt. Eve Dallas and how the complex New York City crimes are solved. If you don't wanna bite her husband, don't read these books! Nora Robert's best writing is as JD Robb in this "In Death" series of some 30+ stories to date. I collect all of the JD Robb books, but skip the Roberts, whose stories are not as tight as those about Lt. Eve Dallas - ass kicker! If the future of New York City is like this, I fear these futuristic killers who are sneaky and complex.

This is a short 90 page book, as the original story was included in an anthology, but it's a definite read for any Eve Dallas fans.

A novella just 90 pages long, this story captures all the Eve Dallas/Roarke chemistry without much of the by-play between tangential characters. Though published in 2005, the book takes place during the first year of Dallas' & Roarke's marriage. On Christmas Eve, it is discovered that someone Eve put away 3 years before has escaped and is killing everyone connected to his conviction, ending with Eve. A fast and satisfying read.

At 90 pages this is a quick but satisfying read. To any fan this is a good addition to the series, especially if 'Holiday in Death' is read first.

If you don't care for Nora Roberts BUT love Mystery/Dark Thrillers with a side of romance and a dash of comedy - then I think you'll love J.D. Robb's ... In Death series written by Nora Roberts alter ego.

I won't go into the details of the books but will tell you this: Superb character development, continuity of the story line (which means you really need to read the books in order although they can stand alone) is top notch, the relationships that are webbed and weaved together throughout each page are phenomenal and let's the reader 'really' get to know the characters.

Here's a list of all the books in order (I'm leaving off the 'In Death' part):

1 Naked
