Neat! This is technically a kids book (but not little kid, old enough to be reading real text) but was fascinating for the two adults in this house, both of whom have a science background. The book is filled with pictures from an electron microscope of things you'd find all around: Pollen, butterfly wings, pepper, algae, blood, etc. Each chapter has a "can you guess what this is?" image (I believe I had one right).

Along with the images, which make the largest impact on the reader I admit, is a discussion of the science behind both making the images and what is seen in the images. Why do butterfly wings look like that? Why the differences in pollen? Why are some images 3D and some 2D? Well written and fascinating look at the world and a really nifty microscope.
