Each time I picked this book up to read another chapter, I was transported back to King David's time. Not only is the storyline totally captivating, it is well written and leaves you hungry for more. I was totally delighted to find out that there are actually more books in this series and I wasted no time in wishlisting them.

I know it is fiction, but it gives you a glimpse of what just may have been going on in Michal and David's lives. I had always thought of her as hard-hearted from reading the OT, but I can now look at her in another light. Who knows how any of us would have handled ourselves in that time and political atmosphere.

A very well written book that takes you back to the time of King David and how life was back then. A very believable story line of how thier lives could have happened. What a loving and forgiving God we have.
