A decent book by Wanda Brunstetter but some how I thought it could have been better.

Another great Amish book by Wanda E Brunsetter.

Miriam Stoltzfus is a young Amish woman living in the rolling hills of modern day Pennsylvania. She was once filled with dreams for a future with a man she adored. . .a man who decided to marry someone else. Now, Miriam is known in her community as the "old maid" schoolteacher with a "heart of stone."

Amos Hily, an Amish widower with a small child, wants to court her, but she is certain that he does not love her and that he only wants a mother for his daughter, a wife for the sake of convience. Meanwhile, Nick McCormick, a local newspaper reporter, takes a special interest in Miriam, and she finds tht he is easy to talk to, as well as attractive.

Will Miriam ever let go of her bitterness and surrender her will to God - or will she leave the Amish faith and find what she longs for in the outside world?
