Anthony slips a little in his story telling in this book.
It pertains more to the younger genre in that it has far too many instances of "explaining how things work" as well as vague, drawn out explanations about things you couldn't care less about, rather than 'gettng on with the story'. I give it one and a half stars.

I thought this was a great idea, but the execution was less than wonderful. To me, so much more could have been made of the journey, and the plot resolution was sort of stilted. It was almost as if this should have been two separate, but more developed, books. I've also never been fond of Anthony's "women as alien beings" take on male - female relationships.

Add to your Piers Anthony Collection, it is why I purchased it, but not really worth keeping. Then again what Piers Anthony is?
