what a beautiful book. i loved it so much. it was so incredibly sad and scary and painful, yes, but it was also filled with the rugged landscape, the resilient constitution of the women, the ferocious need we have to be honest and true to ourselves, come what may. brilliant historical fiction. thank you, kiran, for this lovely journey.
