Well I was one of the women who listened to this book and then made her husband listen to it. I had him trapped in the van with me on a trip to Myrtle Beach and put it in to listen to. He was a good sport and kept saying HUH! I think that there was a lot of good info imparted in the book and I'm not sure if my husband absorbed any of it or not. But we did have a few good discussions from it. It's hard to understand each other and anything that might help I'm all for. It's a great book, and I got tears sometimes when I listened to it by myself alone because I kept thinking that at last someone really understands!!! Good Luck Ladies!!

Here's a book that my online women's book club read and discussed. It was honest and insightful. Written by husband and wife team, Shaunti and Jeff Feldhahn you and your spouse will learn how you 'tick'.

This book and the For Women Only book for the ladies were both enlightening & unique to other female-male relational books due to the method of information gathered by Feldhahn. She's not a psychologist or a counselor speaking from clinical experience. She's not a psych prof speaking from academia. More or less, her info comes from questionaires and statistics. From the questionaires she presents, you get to see the percentage of various answers given for each question asked. Usually, not every woman would answer the same question the same way, maybe one answer would be majority, but a large percentage may answer differently, and your job would be to determine how your wife/girlfriend would answer the question. I have the For Women Only book also, & it really enlightened me on why men are such problem solvers & terrible listeners (listen just to listen), or why I shouldn't be offended if he's a million miles away when football is on. In fact, I never mention important topics when he just got home from work or when he's watching sports. I bought this book for him, though he'll probably never read it. But what I wanted to impress upon my husband that Feldhahn illustrated so accurately, was how women's brains are like computer screens with a dozen thoughts floating on the desktop, but minimized. The reason why women pop out seemingly nonrelevant-to-the-moment thoughts is because those thoughts never really left them, it was merely minimized, but ever present, and will BE PRESENT until it is addressed and resolved. And if you want certain "worries" they keep bringing up to go away, then it needs to be addressed. A great book!

I was so impressed with this book when I read it last year, that I got my fiance his own audio copy. While obviously not everything in the book applies to every woman, the generalities are very on target, and the presentation is enjoyable to read.

My dh read this and said he found it very insightful.....and accurate! Recommended I (as a wife) read it too to let him know if it is really that "on target". Am starting it now, and so far so good.
