As a broadcaster, the author is well informed and there are excellently edited interviews with principals of the 1949-1953 NY Yankees. A few photos, and an excellent index--many, many entries on Casey Stengel and I have looked at some of them. I obtained this book as an add on from a PBS member who was fulfilling a wish for us and may send it to the old soldiers' home (few readers), if not to the lobby of the VA Hospital (many readers and almost no nonfiction on offer).
