This is the life story of Big Dan Huggins, a hillbilly kid who worked his way up to be a major labor leader. It tells of his dedication to his kid sister beyond the call of what's expected of a big brother until she found Mr. Right, his estrangement from his only son until he died and the younger Huggins gained a new understanding of him.

This is a fabulous, passionate tale of "Big Dan" Huggins, who rises from the hardscrabble backwoods of West Virginia to the powerful, top ranks of Big Labor. It's a sensational story of greed, swift violence and dangerous love that spans generations and is peopled with the names that have made modern Amnerican history.
