Good memoir

This is a fabulous memoir...so beautifully written - almost from the viewpoint of a psychologist rather than a loving daughter via Gray's incredibly honest story of her parents and their privileged lives. I could not put this book down; I loved the inside look of Manhattan's fashion and literary worlds from the 50's on up. Historically spellbinding as Gray takes us from her parents' lives from post-revolutionary Russia to Europe during WWI and WWII, to the United States. Gray tries to interpret the convoluted relationships of her brilliant parents and their relationships with not only herself but with their friends. There are many many famous people who walked through her life - Marlena Dietrich for one. Fascinating book.
