I had never read any of Frank McCourt's books until I ended up with an unabridged audio book "Tis". I was heading out on a long trip and took it with me and enjoyed it immensely. The author has recorded it himself and his Irish brogue is just perfect for the reading of the book. I was riveted by his story and can't recommend it highly enough. He is a gifted story teller
I like anything written by Frank Mc Court. I enjoyed it particularly because even though his story is true- he is a great character builder.

Had trouble getting thru the book but LOVED being read-to by the author. Really came alive. I ordered all his books on cassette after that, and was sorry there weren't more.
