This is a true crime account of 3 Hollywood beauties who were all abducted and murdered by men who portrayed themselves as professional photographers who wanted to make movie stars out of the young women. Sadly, it was all a ruse, and amazingly, it was a successful one for too many. This book primarily journals the case against Victor Paleologus, but gives parallels to the murders of young women by Bill Bradford and Charles Rathbun. Don Lasseter is a well established and successful writer of true crime, and he is good at relaying the whole story of the crimes he writes about. He is not my favorite tc author, but he does write about interesting cases. Out of 5 stars, I give Meet Me for Murder a 3.

This is one of the three best true crime books I've ever read. I would tell any fan of true crime to read this as well as Grave Accusations by Andrea Egger and Paul Dunn. They're both unreal and kept me turning pages all night. I got done both of them very fast because I couldn't wait to see the outcome. The defendant in Meet Me For Murder used a scheme that's heard a lot in L.A. and Hollywood but at the same time, he was so different than the other criminals using the same rouse. He escaped punishment for years and years even having been brought to court for numerous charges. I definitely recommend for any true crime fan to read this book or you'll be missing out!
