If you love Italian food, Italy, sailing, cooking and the Cote d' Azur and the Costa Bella you will enjoy this book. The first chapters are not about the sailing but if you get past that you will really enjoy the rest of the book.

The book will take the reader on the Serenity, a sailing yacht, along the Mediterranean coast for a 3-month stint. Chef David Shalleck first travels around Italy learning various culinary techniques; becomes very skilled as a chef, then undertakes a challenging culinary adventure for the Italian elite yacht owners of the Serenity, their entertainment schedule at each port of entry. The book is a delightful read, like taking a summer vacation. Many recipes follow at the end of the book.
