This one was a little tough for me to get into, but the quirky chapter numbers amused me so I kept on reading. After the first few chapters, I found myself not wanting to put the silly thing down. From paper-thin damsels in distress to misplaced Star Trek characters, there's a new adventure on every page in a book that keeps you guessing almost to the very end.
I loved the CHICKS IN CHAINMAIL books. I loved the stories that Margaret Ball contributed to the series about Riva coming from another reality and living in the "paper-pusher world". This book is another adventure of Riva. It was very slow to start but started picking up about a third of the way through. It was a good quick read.
Another delightful CHICKS IN CHAINMAIL. Take some anal-retentive school officials, a few not-so-tough home-boys and a wizard whose transformed magic staff isn't working quite right. Add a sleazy preacher, three kidnapped children stuck in a strange dimension, and top with a barbarian warrior-lady who really prefers direct action to tact---said direct action generally accomplished with a sharp sword. Fun!

This is a great weekend read- one of the "Chicks in Chainmail" books.
This book combines fantasy and sci-fi in a quirky way. Likeable characters- plot turns almost humerous sometimes.
