I loved this book. I had a hard time putting it down, and was disappointed when it ended. I especially loved the Chicago setting and neighborhood details throughout the book, since it is where I live.

I really, really, enjoyed this book. It was definitely catchy. I drove my husband crazy because I couldn't put it down. If you love a cute romantic comedy, where there's lots of twists and turns before the girl finally gets the guy (or visa versa!), you'll enjoy this.
Couldnt wait for this to come to me via PBS so I had to buy it--AWESOME well worth it I wish she could write faster LOL
I really liked this book. It was the first of Susan Elizabeth Phillips's books that I have read. I liked the way she portrays the characters. Even though the ending was a little predictable, the method she used to get there was what made the story intersting.
It's been a long wait for another SEP book featuring the Chicago Stars, but in this case, it was definitely worth it!
MATCH ME IF YOU CAN centers around Heath Champion, alpha of alphas sports agent who has hired two different matchmaking companies to find him the perfect wife. He hasn't had time to furnish his home, never mind the time to exert a lot of energy into finding the perfect woman.
One of the matchmakers he's hired is Annabelle Granger, who took over her grandmother's old-fashioned business after her death. She's turned it into Perfect For You, and she needs to succeed in finding Heath a wife to get her business on the map.
What follows, of course, is a wacky, laugh-out-loud story revolving around Heath and his search for a perfect woman who just doesn't exist; Annabelle's search to find independence and self-suffiency away from her meddling parents and brothers; the downfall of Portia Powers, who runs rival Power Matches; and the salvation of Bodie, Heath's right-hand man. Interspersed with characters from previous SEP books such as Dan & Phoebe Calebow, Kevin & Molly Tucker and their adorable daughter Pippi, and other past and present Stars players add to the fun of MATCH ME IF YOU CAN.
The ending is predictable, of course, when Heath realizes that his perfect match is Annabelle. But the getting there is well worth reading, and the last chapter or so is a tear-jerker.

Annabelle Granger is a vivacious redhead who is starting off in the matchmaking business in Chicago. The business used to be her late grandmother's but Annabelle is modernizing it and changing the name to Perfect For You. She just needs a big name client to help spread some buzz - that's where super sports agent Heath (The Python) Champion comes in. Through Heath's searching for the perfect wife, and Annabelle's connections to some famous footballers and their wives, gives her an in to speak to Health about hiring Perfect For You.
This was a fine read. Funny in places, good happy ever after with hero doing some decent repenting and being raked over coals, and good interaction between characters. I also liked how the romance built up slowly and you could believe these two fit together. But it didn't quite do it for me. I have to say that it's one of those times where I can see others loving this book but something didn't work for me personally. I can't put my finger on it really. Maybe the overall plotline just didn't excite me? Maybe it was a couple of odd phrases that jarred me (guinea fowl breasts? use of the word 'spunk'?) that may not even be noticed by others. Maybe it was my mood? I feel like I will very likely find a SEP book that I will love (I really want to read her newest release), but this didn't quite get there.

This book held my attention from the first page all the way through! A cute, humorous love story depicting that opposites do attract! Highly recommended read.
I read this book a while ago and I still cannot stop thinking about it. The author really made you care about the characters in the book!
Chick Lit at its best.
A great, heartwarming book!
One of SEP best.
Excellent book...Read it in about two days, very enjoyable...
This book was cute, fun and easy to read. I couldn't put it down.
I liked this book. The writing reminded me a little of Janet Evanovich. You can see the ending from a mile away, but still a very good book.
Absolutely loved this story. I read it at least once or twice a year. Great by the pool, lake or beach book. The characters are so real and interesting that you want to have them as your friends. Lots of humor, tension, sparks and insight for all involved. A really great read.
Was a little slow to get started, but picked up and was great.
Annabelle is tired of being the lone failure in a family of overachievers. She's endured dead-end jobs and a broken engagement. Even her hair's a mess! But that's going to change now that she's taken over her late grandmother's matchmaking business. All annabelle has to do is land the Windy City's hottest bachelor as her client, and she'll be the most sought-after matchmaker in town. Nothing is going to stand in her way--not the drunk lying comatose under her car, not her family's disapproval, and certainly not the linegering effects of a broken heart.
