Had little use for this book since my art style is different than the author's and I was looking for something more inspiring than old-fashioned looking. I'm past bowls of fruit and flowers and wanted ideas for methods and such and just found more of the basics that I learned from my highschool teacher 20 years ago. Good for someone who hasn't already developed their own style of colored pencil.

This is one of the best. Ms. Steinberg's teaching style takes you from the bare bones beginnings to the final result of creating a true work of art. Every step is carefully laid out and very clear. From beginner to accomplished artist this is one is a "keeper" and worth a place in your art library. I borrowed it from our local library. I liked it so much, I'm off to buy a copy to keep in MY art library :c)
