Diana London is a City Manager and part-time policewoman in a small southern town. She's also a shape-shifter (a werewolf). She uses her enhanced abilities to help keep her town safe, although she keeps her nature a secret.
Lyr is King of the faeries and has been visiting Diana in her dreams. He's had his own battle going, fighting to keep his people safe from his evil brother Ansgar. When rogue vampires start attacking citizens of Diana's town, Lyr is sent to help. The trouble from the vamps as well as the sparks between Lyr and Diana fly.
This is another exceptional story from Angela Knight. The story continues from Master of the Moon, although if you haven't read that, this works as a stand-alone book too.
Diana is a wonderful strong heroine and Lyr is a strong, sexy, wonderful hero. Highly recommended! There is nothing like an Angela Knight story to keep you up reading until late in the night.

I have read this as the second in the series having missed the first book. I enjoyed this one much more than Master of the Night (#2) both in storyline and in use of language.
This book brings in a new type of magical being to the story the Direkind who are werewolves. I enjoy the "furries" and this version was fun in that our furry friend was female (she-wolf) and kick ass. This was a good story line bringing in characters from the last book and introducing us to the new species.
Angela Knight's has also cleaned up her "sex language" if you will and has greatly toned down the crass use of verbiage that she used in Master of the Night. While this book is still filled with very strong sex scenes, often with very dominating elements, the language at least is not as offensive. Still debating whether this one has convinced me enough to move to the next story!
I still think this series is not as good as Susan Sizemore or Lori Handeland who I consider 2nd tier to Lori Adrian and JD Ward.

This book was a very quick read. The female protagonist kinda got on my nerves. Actually, the male did too, perhaps not as much. It was fun, but fluffy. This book is romance more than paranormal or mystery. There is much sex. Almost too much. Still, it's fun.

Second in Angela Knight's Mageverse series. The first is "Master of the Night." Fast, fun, sexy paranormal romance. www.angelasknights.com for more information on the series.

He's King of the Fairies and proud of it! His outer beauty is matched by his sense of duty and justice. He really is an irresistable hero who falls hard for a werewolf. Angela Knight writes another winner where the gritty action is matched with a wry sense of humor and hot hot hot sex. 4+ twinkling stars!

Great read, couldn't put it down
Love this series. Some pages are pretty steamy.
Angela Knight tells all in her sexually charged vampire stories. I collect them all, filling my bookshelves with her books, many of which are only short stories with other authors. I prefer this servies, and fold the corners to re-read the steamy pages!
Good read. Goes really fast. Characters could use a little more developement but not bad in the long run.
Another author that I really like. A GREAT series.
good series.
Great Paranormal
Extremely hard to put this one down. I look forward to more from this author.
very good. Except for some scene incontinuity it was well written.
I love all of Angela Knight's books. Great writer in this genre and another very enjoyable book.
Wonderful second story in the Master series. Very magical and sexy.
I like this book, it was good and not so much the MAN = Hero, WOMAN = Damsil
fantastic-read it in a day. Cannot wait for next one.
Fast, fun, sexy paranormal adventure.
Surprisingly fairly good. It could use a little more action but overall it's an enjoyable read.
This is the 2nd book and it is great. King Lyr of the Fairies and Diana London, were-wolf meet and sparks fly. Great, quick read. Can't wait for Master of Wolves with Diana's brother Jim (you'll meet him in this book).
This is turning out to be a very interesting series. I hope she continues it. Fairy prince finally meets the woman (?) of his dreams. Great strong (very very strong ) female lead.
Angela Knight writes great sensual stories. This book is great.
very steamy.......
not bad at all
Diane is a city manager of a small town and a werewolf. In this world, Merlin was an alien who helped fight invading "Dark Ones" by creating a race of wizards, good vampires, and werewolves. Diane is helping the police when she stumbles across a vampire in her little town. Soon the King of the Sidhe and her are coordinating a hunt for a killer and a rampant sex life. Witty, well written, sexy, and somehow believeable. Mix of fantasty & romance.
Wow, I just couldn't get into this book. Typically, I can finish any book regardless if it's interesting or not...but this one and another by this author I just couldn't take it. The writing was boring and the story line just didn't capture me. I tried reading book 7 in this series and same problem. I love books of this genre but this series and the writing was unstimulating.
Interesting book on werewolves meeting fey people.
