Kidnapped from the Isle of Nightfall and taken captive by slavers, Dominor is sold to a lovely mage who promises freedom. But Lady Serina has plans for him; she needs another powerful mage to re-enact a mating ritual, to help reverse a Tantric spell cast centuries ago. Agreeing to help her, Dominor doesn't suspect the secret she holds back from him: there is more to this magical mating than the Arithmancer has revealed.

When that secret finally shatters, Dominor is determined to retake possession of the woman who is his destiny.

This entire series is outstanding, at least the ones I have read so far, and this one is no exception. So if you get a chance, start from the beginning with The Sword and go on from there. The last book in the series that I read was The Cat, but I have the next one after that on my list on a website that I use to rent books from. I can't wait to read them. Now that I thank about I will try to buy it so that I can post it here so one of you will get a chance to try it.

Ugh where to start with this book? I felt like I was reading the Davinci Code. It's too much information. I do like authors that describe what is going on in their books but this author goes in way to much detail. Dominor is such a boring character and Serina is too annoying. I had to skip through some pages. I'm not keeping this for sure. Maybe I'll try another book by this one author but I don't know. I just did not like it.

Dominor and Serina's love story was a very well written and I loved the fact that even though Dominor was bought as a slave Serina treated him well and respected him from the beginning.

Third book in this Paranormal Romance series . . . so far the best balanced (between paranormal and romance) story. This is, of course, the story of the third born twin starting from where he has been kidnapped from his family. The strong female heroine was a nice balance in this story line. Since it is a romance novel it doesn't hold up to the sci-fi expectations of plots and character plausibility; however it was good enough that I will obtain the next book in the story to continue with this tale.

This is a cheesy series I use to fill in when none of my favorites are out, and I have nothing else to read. It's not "bad" but it's no where near great either. I call it Fluff.

An excellent book in and excellent series, although I'm not sure I like the fact that Dominic's talent lies in "managing" his scatterbrained yet brilliant wife. He is the well-dressed, put-together brother, and more should have been made of his organizational skills and magical skills as well, in my opinion. The idea that Dominic would be bought as a slave by his future wife, too, just didn't sit well with me. However, Jean Johnson does not disappoint on the sex scenes, which makes up for the other shortcomings. :)
