This was my first book by Sheri Whitefeather. I couldn't connect with the characters and it was slow. There was definitely something missing for me. Interested to see what others think.

The plot sounded promising, so I dove into this book expecting maybe too much. The writing was so awful that I skimmed, skipped, & speed-read through the book. This was supposed to be an erotic romance? I don't think the author knew what an adjective or adverb was - the writing was wooden, stilted, & just plain boring. Undoubtedly, one of the worst I have had the misfortune of reading.
This book was a pretty fun read. Amber is a commitment phobe so she has a threesome with two guys and ends up falling in love with one them. The story goes back and forth between Amber and her family tree to an infamous love triangle. I wanted to read more about the infamous love triangle between Amber's great-great-grandfather more than Amber's love triangle. All in all though, Masquerade was a pretty good read.
