This book was much improved over the second one. I accually liked the characters in this book. Jones does a great job at making these characters very relatable as far as their flaws and mistakes. The ending was a suprise. It wasn't anything that I was expecting. The only thing that I think needed improving on was that he would skip whole parts of the story. Like the main character gets caught, the chapter before that he was free as a bird, then all of the sudden he's standing on a foreign beach in chains... there was a few scenes like that in the book. It made it a bit disjointed. And sometimes there was just too much dialog. Jones left this book wide open for a follow up but I bought this book about four years ago and he hasn't put another out. All and all it was a good read, and I would read more of this authors work because it would get better and better as he becomes more accomplished.
