This book gives a good foundation for getting out of debt and staying there. It also gives a plan for managing finances. Mary Hunt has personal experience and uses it in this very readable book as well as drawing on the knowledge and experience of both experts in finance and others who have had to rebuild their finances. She has some interesting methods that I have not seen in other books but they make a lot of sense. She also talks about the proper use of credit and a little about investing towards the end of the book. This is timeless information which will benefit the reader.
