This is a great and inspiring book about a teacher who believes that every child can be an achiever. It tells not only about the teacher, but about the phonic methods that she uses in her own school.

Marva Collins' Way gave me a whole new perspective about phonics. It also offers proof that having high expectations for student achievement in the classroom produces results. Marva never gave her students permission to fail and she never gave up on them. This is definitely a book worth reading. Teachers, parents, and students will all have a strong connection to this book.

Marva Collins is an extraordinary teacher. She works with all kinds of kids.
Even the hard to reach ones. This is about how she used positive words and praise to help them succeed. She has a "you can do it" attitude and convinces them that their is nothing they can not achieve. She greets her students with these words "The first thing we are going to do here, children, is an awful lot of believing in ourselves."
This is a very inspiring teacher and I think even a parent would like this book.
