Yet another enjoyable mystery in this series based on the TV show. There is one thing I don't understand. No matter which city she is in, Jessica just drops by well-known restaurants, and immediately finds a table, often without mentioning her celebrity status.

For example, in this book, written in 1995, she drops by Fisherman's wharf in San Francisco and gets a table. This is a tourist mecca, but she has not trouble getting a seat. I was there in the 1980s and had to wait for a table.

This is like the TV shows where the main character always finds an empty parking spot right in front of the building he or she is visiting.
