reviewed The Martial Artist's Book of Five Rings: The Definitive Interpretation of Miyamoto Musashi's Classic Book of Strategy on
The Book of Five Rings, as translated by Steven Kaufman is a straightforward approach to the classic treatise on strategy. He explains Musashi's sometimes cryptic passages in a concise language that all martial artists will be able to understand and apply to their chosen art. Although written mostly for individual combat, the principles are easily applied to large-scale battles. This is perfect for those wanting a good translation of an old favorite from someone who understands the martial arts.
