The reviews for this book are very mixed. I can see why. Some admit to not being able to finish it, others loved it. She (Tuck) honestly tries to share a very painful experience with the reader. Nina shares their history in bits and pieces. As she reflects on her marriage, it was not perfect but both Nina and Philip(mathematician)came across as very committed to each other. If you are looking for a romantic and happy novel, this book is not for you. Nina sits all night at the bed side of her dead husband and reminisces about their life. Lots of French quotes and dialogue as well as mathematical discussions. I enjoyed it but I was eager for it to come to its conclusion.
