Kathleen Elliott is a pseudonym for KAREN HARBAUGH. Written in the Regency period it's about Georgia Canning who aspires to be a scholar. She wants to see her mother settled so sets a courtship in motion. All went well until Georgia tries to rout another suitor, rakish Lord Ashcombe, who is most unsuitable for her mother. Her dear mother agrees knowing the nobleman is the very man to entice her scheming, bookish daughter to matrimony instead.
