I've read several books by Terry Lawrence and have always enjoyed them. This book was no exception. In fact, the first half to two thirds was terrific. A very interesting hero unlike any I've ever read before, he actually had a job as a glorified butler in modern times. The romance and relationship developed smoothly and I read with eagerness.
At some point in the last third of the story, the heroine's thoughts or actions or something just seemed to flounder. I don't feel like the last part of the book fulfilled the promise I sensed in the first part but I still consider this a worthwhile read mainly because the parts I did enjoy I enjoyed a ton.
