This may or may not be a good book!
Okay, I don't like men who cry...unless someone has kicked them in the crotch...then they can cry. It is better when they yell instead of cry. I kept hearing a whiny voice in my head while I was reading this one. Some people (well, probably most people) will tell you this is a touching narrative from a man who is comfortable in his own skin and who is not afraid of his feelings. Poppycock, he is a whiner...I got tired of listening to the whining in my head so I stopped reading it around pg75. Skipped a bunch of pages, I still heard the whine. Flipped to the end....more whine. Got up and made me a grilled cheese sandwich.

Good book. Tony Parsons is a great writer. Read Man and Boy first, though. It makes this one easier to understand.

Funny, tearjerking, and reassuringly feelgood.

Book Description
Harry Silver is ready to try again at living "happily ever after." It won't be easy: not when he has to juggle his wife, his ex-wife, his son, his stepdaughter, his work, and his new wife's fast-growing career. Did Harry commit to marriage to Cyd too soon after his split with Gina? Can you love -- really love -- a child who is not your own? Can you be a good father to a child you only see on the weekends? When Harry meets a woman who makes him question all these things and more, his tangled web becomes even more knotty.

A brilliant sequel to the international bestseller Man and Boy, Tony Parsons' Man and Wife is a story about families -- and love -- in the new century, written with his trademark humor, passion, and superb storytelling that have made millions across the globe laugh and cry.

A sequel to the international bestseller "Man and Boy", this also stands on its own as a brilliant novel about relationships in the new century. The inimitable Tony Parsons does it again.

Had it's funny parts but not one of my favorites.
