This is one of the best books about horses I've ever read (and I read a lot). It makes you feel like you actually were there, you can feel how Danny feels for his horse. But I think my favorite part about it was how all the words fit together so beautifully. Walter Farley is one of my favorite authors.

Quasi-fictional account of the great racehorse of 100 years ago. May have been for 9-12 year olds of yesteryear, the 10 year olds I'm around would have difficulty reading it, I'd say it's a young adult book
