Man without a past. In one swift moment a fall wiped away his memory. Now all he knew for certain was that someone wanted him dead.....everywhere he turned there just seemed to be more questions. He had only the naame he had been told was his own, his mysterious skill with a gun, and a link to a half million dollars' worth of buried gold as evidence of his past life. (Back cover)

This book is missing its front cover, but I know many people want Louise Lamour books.
There was gold buried somewhere on the Davidge spread. No one knew where for sure, but a whole lot of poeple were ready to kill for it.
Peg Cullan was as cold as a Texas blizzard. She wanted the gold and she didn't care what her hired guns had to do to get it....Judge Niland was a greedy double-dealer. He had plenty of money. He knew how to get it and how to keep it. But he wanted more...

All Fan Davidge wanted was her ranch back, and the Ruble Noon vowed she's have it-the ranch and the gold-or he'd die trying....
