Not sure what the other reviewer is talking about, there is NO character named Slade in this book, think she wrote up the wrong title.
This book is the second in the Feline breeds series, with hero Taber and heroine Roni. Roni was a lost soul, always getting into trouble and getting bailed out by her crush Taber. The attraction grows as she comes of age, until they have to decide if they will act out on it. One touch is enough to start the chemical process going for mating, but they go separate ways with painful repercussions and need to overcome that physical and mental barrier later.
Interesting story, also has lots of Merinus and Callan in this follow-up story - recommend reading "Tempting the Beast" first.

Have never made it through the end of the book. Fast read. I do think these books stand on their own. I have not read the first one and had no problem following the premise.

Great story. Hot and steamy with a great plot. I love the series.
