Sheri Holman is a masterful writer. This is a story of a small Virginia town, a tough farm woman who's struggling for survival and her teenage daughter who's trying to find herself.

Not my favorite, but an enjoyable and interesting read nevertheless.

I liked this book so much I recommended and hosted it for my book club. Americana at its best. Would make a great movie.

This book was SO LONG. I trudged through and was so excited when it was over. Its a good story with great characters but it seemed the author just drew out the story way more than it needed to go.

The beginning was pretty good, about a small farming town. Then it just goes downhill for me!

Cast of characters varies from 11 babies born at the same time to the same parents; a presidential hopeful; a cheesemaker (Margaret) trying to save her centuries old family farm; a teenager in a dangerous relationship with her radical history teacher. The characters all become involved in trying to save the Cheese farm....and all looks good until the owner finds that her daughter's relationship with her teacher is worse that she thought. Margaret soon finds that trying to preserve what she has may very well cost her all she hold dear.

Didn't know what to expect from this book but I was pleasantly surprised. Very relevant in today's political arena. I would read it again in the future.
