Minneapolis anchorwoman and single mother Maggie Lawrence thinks she has left her desperate past behind. Then a number of threatening things happen that seem to reveal her darkest secret. Could these threats be tied to a major news story the station is working on?

This is a well constructed plot with many strongly developed characters. The workings of a television station and an investigative news team are accurate due to the author's long work history in journalism, television news director and station general manager.
