This is not a book that you need to get to make soap. I think that the author has never made soap. The soapmaking directions were dangerous. I have been making soap for 10 years, so I do have experience.

I agree with Tammy that the soap-making directions in this book are misleading and dangerous. If you are interested in making your own soap from scratch, one of soap making books by Susan Miller Cavitch or Norma Coney are a much better choice.
