I've put this down as sci-fi/fantasy, but there are a lot of people who claim this is more of a nonfiction book! People either love this book or hate it -- there's almost nobody in the middle!


Something landed in the New Mexico desert one night, near the small town of Roswell. The wreckage was unlike anything the reanchers and the townspeople had ever seen. Some claimed it was not of this earth. But whatever they believed, it transformed their lives forever. For twenty-four hours the news spread like wildfire. Then the government investigators arrived...and the news stopped....

Whitney Strieber; host of his internet website :"Unknown Country" and
author of many books has written a fictious account of the event
known to the world as "The Crash at Roswell". In 1947 something did
crash near the Atomic Bomber Air Field at Roswell,New Mexico.The
first day it was said by the Air Force that the "Air Force had captured a Flying Saucer." The next day this news was changed to say
the crash was only a U.S. Air Force Weather Baloon!Strieber tells a
