Great book consisting of two stories: Pack Challenge and Go Fetch. Although this book is apparently out of print, both titles are now sold individually. The two books relate to a trio of friends: Sara (a wolf shifter that was raised by a reviled-by-all grandmother (also a wolf shifter) that never told Sara who or what she is), and Sara's two human friends: Miki (a brilliant, but snarky gal, that has trust issues with men/relationships), and Angelina (who, on the surface, appears to be a gorgeous but prissy girly-girl, but is anything but. She's tough, capable, and quite the smart alec). All three women have been fast friends since grade school, are hilarious, would do anything for each other, and don't take anything off of anyone.
The first book, Pack Challenge, is the story of Sara and Zach. He's the soon to be alpha male of the Magnus Pack (wolves), and she hasn't a clue as to what she is. All she knows is that she's becoming increasingly aggressive and can't quite figure out why. Enter Zach, who knows her family history and is there with the rest of the pack to help. That includes protecting her from an encroaching threat that she's unaware of. Every one of the books I've read by Ms Laurenston has been very funny and this is no exception. Zach thinks Sara's certifiably nuts but can't resist her and Sara falls into lust with him immediately and can't resist him either. They're a rough and tumble couple, which is also typical of Laurenston's books, but are perfect for each other. All in all, a great read.
The second book, Go Fetch, is the story of Miki and Conall (another Magnus Pack wolf whose best friend is Zach from Pack Challenge). Miki is a brilliant, petite, but capable woman who's known for saying whatever comes to her head - appropriate or not. She finds herself torn between being annoyed by Conall's unrelenting pursuit and wanting to jump his bones. Conall, a seriously big guy with Viking looks and heritage, is crazy about her and has his work cut out for him when it comes to convincing Miki that they belong together. Another fun read!
By the way, once you've read these two books, you'll want to know what happens to the third friend, Angelina. Her story can be found in Here Kitty, Kitty which was released back in 2006 and is evidently out of print. The good news is that it's being re-released May 1, 2009. Hopefully, by the time you read this, it will already be available!
