A love-through-time Christmas story.
After twenty years of marriage, Julie and Jon Radcliffe are on the verge of calling it quits. Deciding to make a last ditch effort for their children, they book a family Christmas vacation at the Oak River Plantation in Virginia, complete with people in civil war era costumes. Once they arrive, meet the caretakers, and learn the history of the house, the family's attitudes begins to change.
This is a nice Christmas story about a second chance at love. The Radcliffe family problems parallel the problems of the original owners of the plantation. Solving the problems was a little too quick for me, but I did enjoy the story. My rating: 3.5 Stars.

It was a sweet story but with sadness. It was about a married couple with three kids who were too close to splitting up. Until they decided to go to a plantation for Christmas that was like a bed and breakfast. This is a magical story that I won't ruin it by saying why the plantation itself is magical.
I didn't finish it, I couldn't get into it.
Heather Grham is always a great read.
