ISBN 076961258x - Christmas books are still in piles around the house, and it's March! What I've learned from this is this - Christmas books are good choices all the time! Childrens' Christmas books, in particular, retain their message throughout the year, a very good thing for someone who is swamped in them.
Jungle-dwelling T. Jay Toucan gets a Christmas package from his cousin P. Jay Penguin, who lives at the North Pole. Excited, because P. Jay's gifts are always unique, T. Jay tears open the wrapping to discover a box and a card. With his friends gathered around, T. Jay reads it outloud; it says that the box will grant him two wishes! Alec Alligator eyes the snow on the card and thinks snow would be a nice thing to have for Christmas, so the first wish is used and the snow begins to fall. The thrill wears off quickly, as the jungle friends realize that snow comes with some difficulties. How will T. Jay use his second wish? Or will the friends freeze before they find out?
This is a cute book that doesn't mention an author or illustrator, so I can only credit Landoll. The book is small, making it easy for small hands to hold. The illustrations are fun and complement the text perfectly. The font is large, which helps budding readers a lot, and the language is simple.
