Our hero - Powell Long and our heroine - Antonia Hayes were engaged to be married and the day before the wedding Powell broke up with Antonia because he believed the lies Antonia's best friend, Sally, told Powell about Antonia. 10 yrs later Antonia comes back due to her dad's health and runs into Powell but won't talk to him. She takes a job teaching in the local school and has Maggie, Powell's daughter, in her class. Maggie is a very angry and unloved girl and makes more trouble for Antonia. It all works out in the end as usual but you should read it if you like Diana Palmer's stories because I think you'll like this one too. Enjoy.

Love it, Love it!!!! It's one of those love stories that has a bad situation when they were young, gossip to run her out of town, but they re-unite when older with a little help from his young daughter. I just could not put this one down. I even read it twice and I will not let this book go!!! There might be a night I want to re-read this again!!

One of Diana Palmer's earlier romances, this was a very enjoyable read. I liked her characterizations, and this was a very moving story.
